NHSN 11th International Conference
PATHWAYS TOWARD HEALTH EQUITIES IN HISPANIC POPULATIONS

The NHSN 11th International Conference took place in Miami, FL at The Westin Colonnade Hotel Coral Gables, from August 24-27,
The NHSN is dedicated to improving health equity of Hispanics by:
- Increasing the amount, quality, and dissemination of interdisciplinary translational research and;
- Fostering the development and advancement of Hispanic scientists to promote future leaders.
To advance this vision, the theme of this year’s conference was Pathways toward Health Equities in Hispanic Populations . Panels discussed the topics of Etiologies of Health Disparities, Existing Interventions, as well as Health Reforms and Policies. Click here to access the conference program.
The objective of the conference planning committee was to encompass a broader scientific focus beyond drug abuse and address health disparities, with an emphasis on improving the health equity of Hispanics.
The conference also featured a pre-conference methodology workshop on August 24.
